MMUST RUGBY VS KABRAS RUGBY will renew their inter-provincial rivalry this Saturday at Kakamega ASK Showground

Mmust Rugby will be desperate to get one over their old foes in a highly-anticipated derby clash this weekend, having eliminated western Bulls in the Victoria cup Finals last Saturday in Kisumu. Although Kabras are the strong favorites to come out on top, MMUST fans were given reason to be hopeful after a stirring performance in a 29-10 win against western Bulls at Mamboleo Showground. Defending Kenya cup champions have been far more consistent this season however, as they have won all majority of their matches since the loss at Ruaraka in the last Kenya cup season.

Kabras Head coach Jerome Muller has named a strong side captained by Jeanson Misoga for the game, although a number of first-choice players are missing due to international Commitments. Ntabeni Dukisa will start at flyhalf, with Malika habill, in a backline that features Walter Okoth, Paul Abuto and Alfred Orege.The forward pack is also packed with Ugandan international Asuman Mugerwa as a loosehead prop and former Kenya international Hillary Mwanjilwa at tight head prop.

Mmust head coach John asila has also named a strong lineup although several key players have been ruled out due to injury. There is plenty of up-and-coming talent in the team however, Griffin Chao, John Bahati and Wanyama will all miss due to sustained injuries in the previous Match. Collins ngoko is expected to captain the assisted by Veron Kaburu.Upcoming sensation Eric cantona who many view as a future Kenyan international is expected to start at flyhalf. Former St. Joseph Kitale prop who now has changed positions is expected to start as a hooker assisted by Michael Onyango as tight head prop and Collins Ngoko as Loose head prop.
